The Tribute Truck “Anchors Aweigh”
Throughout my career, I have had the immense pleasure of working with families and individuals that have stories they want to immoralize. One of those individuals was Shannon Andrews. She and her family wanted to build a show truck as a tribute to her late husband and her father who were both in the U.S. Navy. After meeting and discussing her project with me, Shannon gave me artistic freedom to paint whatever I felt was appropriate and engaging. I chose to portray a history of the U.S. Navy through a series of milestone engagements since the birth of our country. Being a military history buff, I enjoyed the entire process from researching references to the final clearcoating. I love the final result and attendees at all of the shows where the “Anchors Aweigh” truck has been on display do too.
